A reminder of what facilities Stanton Bed and Breakfast offers:
• 3 bedrooms (Queen with ensuite, double and twin rooms, each with private bathroom)
• magnificent guest lounge with open fire, stereo, piano, acoustic guitar, CD & DVD library, complimentary port and sherry, large selection of games, jigsaws and other ‘cerebral’ food
• original dining room with open fire, Wedgewood china, crystal, silverware & linen
• extensive heated library with cosy atmosphere and port decanter
• wide verandahs on both levels with commanding views of surrounding countryside, including lakes, mountains, orchards, and dramatic sunsets
• separate heated spa house with adjoining gas barbeque and garden area
• each bedroom is equipped with TV, DVD, tea/coffee making facilities, mini-bar fridge, robes, iron & board, hairdryer, electric blanket, electric heating, selection of pillows, antique furniture, fresh flowers
• fully licenced, BYO also okay
• hearty ‘Stantonental’ breakfast included in tariff, in addition to afternoon tea on arrival. Local produce used where available. Full breakfast available on request. (“Hearty Continental” is tourism-speak for cereals, yoghurt, smoked salmon, cream cheese, avocado, variety of toasts, crumpets, etc., juice, tea/coffee, fresh fruit, dried fruit, jams.)
• fishing gear, golf clubs, picnic baskets, art supplies, calligraphy materials, handwork (sewing) supplies, piano & guitar along with music and tutorial books, large collection of ‘craft’ books & magazines
• 16 acres include large cottage garden, rose and lavender walk, 3 dams, hawthorn avenue, vegetable garden, cherry orchard, large old mixed orchard including many varieties of apple, apricot, nectarine, peach, pear, mulberry, raspberry, quince, damson, plums, greengage; beehives, sheep, incredibly friendly dog and cat.
• tariff:- Queen room with ensuite $160 per night, $110 single Double & twin rooms (private bathrooms) $150 per night, $100 single Special rates available for longer stays and/or group bookings.
